Ummmm…ya this is pretty common
Does this make me a bad mom? Most Sundays Matthew can barely make it
through lunch for his nap. Not sure what the difference from any other
day of the week. Maybe he plays so hard with his friends?? I dunno. But
I do swear that my son can sleep anywhere!
You know your tired when…
you fall asleep in the middle of a diaper change!! I couldn’t believe
it! I thought Matthew was taking his nap, after all, I laid him down
about 30 minutes ago. All of a sudden, he started crying. Weird, I
thought, so I went upstairs to see what the problem was. My nose took
care of that! PPPEEEEUUUUUUUUYYYYYYSSSSS!!! (Who would of thought
something so cute could smell so bad!) When I picked him up to change
him, he was wide awake, so I thought he would be all napped out. But
Just as I was putting the clean diaper on him, I happened to look at his
face, and he was out! Some times this kid amazes me with where and how
he sleeps! (and I couldn’t help but sneak a couple pics before I put him
back in bed!)

Thanks to the help of my wonderful Hubby, posting will be much easier now! We’ve been up to lots the past month. Matthew is growing like a weed, so much so, that I now have to safety pin his pants on because they are too small around the waist, yet starting to get too short. Thank goodness for the adjustable waist pants, just need to make the purchase. We are also so happy to find out that we will be getting a new addition to the family. (no…we’re not pregnant!!) My Brother found a wonderful woman to spend the rest of his life with, and for some reason, she likes our family too!! 😉 I’ll be posting some more pictures soon, so come back often!!
No more sick!!
What a month it’s been! I think the three of us have been passing around the same cold for the past 3 weeks. First Matthew, then me, then Paul, back to me, then Matthew, and back to me again!! I’m trying to cope, but it’s not going very well. I seriously don’t remember that last time I was this sickly! It’s kinda driving me crazy. I only hope that this ‘bug’ stops at me. NO ONE ELSE CAN GET SICK! I think I just might go mentally insane! Any hoot, off to bed to get some much needed sleep.

Fell off the Planet…
OK, I promise I really didn’t! We’ve been pretty busy around here in the past weeks. We had a great party for Matthew’s birthday, and he was able to celebrate with the ones he loves most! Matthew also got his first haircut, and is in the need for another one real soon. Matthew also gave up crawling and is walking around now like a pro! (like this Mama’s not proud enough!) Paul and I are going to start seriously thinking about making a large purchase in the form of a house. (very scary thought!) We also got a little visit in with my grandma and Matthew charmed her socks off. Matthew also moved up in the nursery at church and is now in the toddler room. We just need to work on the going down the stairs thing. Well, doesn’t sound like much, but I feel like my days are non-stop, and my nights not quite long enough. I’ll see if I can get a few pictures up, so stay tuned!

It’s hard to think that just a year ago, I was in labor and Dr. Fee had just
decided to deliver Matthew via C-Section. 8:16 pm. That’s when my wonderful
adventures in Mommy-hood started; and what a joy and blessing it had been.
My heart is so full of the wonderful miracle sitting on the living room
floor, playing with his cookie jar. I’ve been trying to put to words all
that my little miracle means to me, and what this past year has been, but I
am finding it really hard. For most of you who don’t know, Matthew’s full
term delivery is a miracle that only God can take credit for. When I found
out where the tear was from when I fell at 27 weeks, and the fact that it
did heal, all I can think is WOW, I serve an awesome God. He gave Paul and I
one VERY health baby boy. 1 year ago today. Matthew, I hope you will always
know how much me and daddy love you, and how special you truly are. Happy
Birthday baby boy!
