I love cars…I know, not a normal girl thing. And Paul and I got to share out love with Matthew and the OC Car Show a couple weekends ago. I’m proud to say, Matthew likes them too…
hehe
Ahhhh…the bumblebee…Honey, Can I have one?
Rawr!
Mommy, you’re so silly!
oh, ya, I want one of these too…although I may have to fight Paul over it! 😉
Not exactly a safe driving practice…but I think Matthew liked being behind the wheel of a great car!
If we could, I know we would have one of these sitting in our ‘driveway’. An Audi S8…starting at around $100,000.00. Not going to happen anytime soon!

Help Mama! I’m stuck!
Just kidding!
Mama, did you get the camera out?
Ahhh…nothin’ better then laying in the shade!
I love the park!
Check out all my teeth!

I can hardly believe five years ago Paul and I became man and wife. What a wonderful journey it’s been! These last five years have been the best of my life. It hasn’t been with out bumps in the road, but I can’t think of anyone better to face these challenges with than Paul. Thanks babe, for the last five years and all the future ones God has for us! I love you!

Why are babies so interested in poop? That is the question of the day, I think! All I know is Matthew thinks his is absolutely interesting! Maybe it’s the squishiness or the stinkyness. Maybe I should go back in time 28 years and ask the younger version of myself that same question.
So here’s what brought up this yummy and appealing train of thought…hold on, it’s a good one!
Matthew is normally a morning pooper, but today, not so true. Buy dinnertime I’m getting a little concerned because of this wonderful fact. Then just as I’m thinking I should give him some prunes, I hear him grunting and groaning in his pack and play. “Great!” I thought, putting the prunes away. Being the wonderful mom that I am, I sit on the couch waiting until I ‘think’ he’s done, only to look over 5 minutes later to see him studying his fingers with the utmost curiosity. Then, that pit in the stomach feeling hit…was his diaper on all the way? I get up and run over to see if my fears were warranted, and, yup, POOP ALL OVER! I grabbed Matthew and made a beeline for the changing table upstairs, yelling AAAAHHHHH the whole way up. Matthew thought this was quite funny, not much will get a reaction like that out of me. Luckily, I remembered to put a pacifier in his mouth before the incident, so no poo actually made it in his mouth. (Thank goodness!) Just all over his belly, legs, fingers, and don’t forget, under the fingernails! So, as I type this, all of his toys and blankets that were in the pack and play are getting washed, ready for a new day. I’m not sure I really want to repeat this ever again. But, I’m sure I will. It’s one of many adventures in motherhood.

Matthew had his first Disney experience Saturday. We went on a family trip to Downtown Disney, just for fun. While in the World of Disney store, we found this giant floor to ceiling mirror, and Matthew had the most fun parked in front of it. (Paul had some fun with the camera too!)

Matthew and I had the pleasure of spending last Friday with the Plumbs. What a fun time we had! I love any chance we get to spend time with such good friends. Matthew enjoyed it too! Not to mention, the Plumbs have the most adorable babies in the whole world!! During nap time, I got a little one on one time with Rebekah Jane. What a cutie! (I’m trying not to be matchmaker!!) Here is a picture of Matthew enjoying our little play date…

Since Matthew has 8 teeth, I decided I should be a good mom, and start brushing them so he will have clean healthy teeth. Matthew loves to brush his teeth. I think he likes the way the brush feels on his gums. And he likes to brush them on his own too!

We keep small storage baskets under our coffee table as a place to put Matthew’s toys when they’re not all over the living room floor, and Matthew has decided that they are fun toys too. One day, I was in the kitchen, doing who knows what, and I peeked over the counter to see what Matthew was up to since he was making so much noise, and this is what I found.
Matthew had managed to pull out one of the baskets, dump the toys out, and take the lining out and snuggle with it like it was one of his blankets. Then he happened to notice one of his truck blankets in his little laundry basket waiting to be washed. Needless to say, about 10 minutes later, all of his dirty clothes were spread across the living room. Silly boy!

Matthew and I had a fun little trip to Wal-Mart on Monday. He even got to pick out a toy if he was good. (like he is anything but charming when we go out!) This is what he picked out with a little bit of my help. I remember playing with something like this when I was in the nursery at church when I was little. It’s nice to know that some toys, especially the really cool ones, never go out of style! (Can toys even go out of style?)
Mama, What am I supposed to do with this thing?!?
Yah! I got one off! :0)
